About the course

This qualification aims to provide learners with in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills and the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. This qualification is ideal for those seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills gained from the Level 2 Counselling Skills Certificate. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of a range of counselling skills and examine some of the various theoretical models associated with them. Students will also cover units that explore the importance of personal development, equality and diversity, and ethical considerations, which are imperative aspects within the counselling sector.

This qualification does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor, however, it does provide an opportunity to gain the competencies required to progress onto higher levels of study
