About the course

This one year Foundation Entry course is aimed at thoses who want to work in the health and social care sector. This is a great stepping stone if you are returing to eductaion, you will develop academic writing skills, research and presentation skills as well as developing awarness of anatomy and physiology for those wanting to go on to a career in the health and social care sector.

Cost Information

Year 1 (delivered at Burnley College): The standard full time tuition fee rate for this course in 2023/24 for UK students is £9000 per year. Year 2 and 3 (delivered at UCLan): The standard full time tuition fee rate for this course in 2023/24 for UK students is £9250 per year. The standard full time tuition fee for the Foundation year for this course in 2023/24 is £6000.

Entry Requirements

UCAS: 64 points at A2 BTEC Extended Diploma: MPP BTEC Diploma: MM Access Course: Pass 64 UCLAS Points IELTS: 6.0 with no Component lower thank 5.5 GCSE's: 5 at grade C/4 including maths and English  or equivalent. You will also be required to attend a face to face interview. As this course will involve working with vulnerable groups of individuals including children, you will be required to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced DBS.

Assessment

This course will be assessed using a combination of methods including portfolio building, academic essays, presentations, exams and information leaflets.
