About the course
This course is a one day course and is aimed at employees in any sector and any organisation, designed to give the tools and information needed to help individuals handle health and safety. IOSH Working Safely gives an outline of occupational safety and health. The course looks at defining hazards and risks as well as identifying common hazards in the workplace. The course also looks at how to improve safety performance. Delegates are given the IOSH Working Safely workbook to work through alongside the course and to then keep as a reference. Recently the CITB (CSCS card) have stated that all candidate applying for a CSCS card should have completed and passed this course. The learner will be able to identify why it is important to work safely, everyone's responsibilities in relation to safety, health and well being, define key terms in safety and health, identify work place hazards and risks and how to control them, identify ways of managing and improving health and safety in the workplace.

You will be assessed for competency and understanding in one formal exam and a total of three hazard spotting exercises.
