About the course
The programme through initial assessment of skills using the 'Preparing for Adulthood Agenda Outcomes' offers students’ a programme of study that supports them with their academic educational journey. Students with supportive needs or with an EHCP can access this course as a school leaver at Year 11, Y12 or Year13. The course content includes a range of topics to study at Entry Level which prepares the student for their next steps towards a vocational course of their choice. This includes progress on to Workskills Vocational programmes, Level 1 study programmes and Supported Learning 19+ Adult Provision. Maths and English qualifications are incorporated into the curriculum a continued support in their development.
There are no specific entry requirements for this programme. Applicants with EHCP will received an Additional learning Support Assessment prior to enrolment.
Course work assessed via a portfolio with Maths and English through exams.
Careers & Progression
Progression routes include a wide range of courses in Engineering, A Levels, Creative Industries and Computing, Health and Social Care, Nursing, Public Services, Sport & Fitness and Construction. Supported Internships within the volunteering and employment sectors
Extra curricular activities
Each programme includes a range of activities that enrich the programme of study. This includes trips and visits and wider activities to support personal and social development and confidences . By including a carousel of activities throughout the year students develop a varied set of skills that can by applied to their own development.
