About the course

This course introduces you to the key skills needed to progress into further study in computing, IT or digital technologies. It’s built around practical tasks and project-based learning, with a strong focus on what you can do rather than just what you know. You’ll complete activities that develop both general employability skills and digital knowledge through real tasks that reflect working life. You’ll learn how to manage your time, work in a team, research and plan your work, and communicate your ideas clearly. You’ll also build sector-specific skills through units such as solving IT problems, creating simple 2D digital animations, and building a basic website.

This course is ideal if you’re looking to grow in confidence, gain hands-on experience, and develop the transferable skills needed to move on to a Level 2 Computing course or another digital route
