The WorldSkills UK competition is renowned for setting the gold standard in technical and professional training across the nation. By reaching the National Finals, our Students demonstrated that they’re among the brightest and best in the country.

Ben Blackledge, CEO of WorldSkills UK, congratulated the team, stating, “Our competitions test learners’ skills against global industry standards, providing a powerful platform to showcase their talents. Over two intensive days of competition, they will gain valuable skills and confidence which will turbocharge their careers and make the UK economy more competitive.

“With employers all over the UK crying out for high-quality skills, this is a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of learners to show they are ready for work. I can’t wait to see the finalists in action.”

Their next challenge awaits in November, where they will compete in Cardiff and Milton Keynes from 25–28 November. The competition marks an intense two days of high-level challenges in Digital Media Production, capped off with a glittering medal ceremony on Friday, 28 November in Newport.
