Burnley College Electrical Engineering and Vocational skills students will benefit from a new Electrical Workshop Building, supporting the continued expansion of the college’s North campus. The purpose-built facility will give students access to modern, industry-standard spaces designed to support their training and career ambitions.
The two-storey building will cover approximately 1,350 square metres and house four electrical workshops, four classrooms, a seminar room, staff facilities and supporting accommodation. It represents a significant investment in technical and vocational education across the region.
Demand for qualified electrical and technical workers continues to grow across East Lancashire and beyond. This new facility directly responds to that need, expanding the college’s capacity to train the next generation of skilled professionals.
Burnley College’s Chief Finance and Operating Officer, Stuart Arnfield, said:
“This new Electrical Workshop Building reflects Burnley College’s continued investment in technical education and in the future of our students. With demand for skilled electrical professionals on the rise, the facility will provide learners with access to industry-standard spaces that support high-quality, career-focused training.”
“Electrical installation is a growing field, and we want every student who walks through our doors to have the very best platform to build their future. From the workshops to the accessible design, every detail has been considered with our students in mind.”
The plans include a fully accessible building with step-free access, lift provision between floors and modern teaching spaces designed to support a wide range of learning requirements. Explore Electrical Engineering and Vocational skills courses at Burnley College.
