Burnley College Education “En Pointe” as Prestigious Ballet School Offers Exclusive Study Opportunity

One of the UK’s leading ballet schools is taking on new students starting this September at Burnley College.

Mentors in Ballet Education or MiBE (formerly Moorlands Internation Ballet) are offering A Level learners the opportunity to formerly train while completing their academic qualifications.

The exciting new collaboration secures East Lancashire’s place as one of the premiere locations for ballet training in the UK.

The closure of Moorland School in Clitheroe earlier this year left MiBE with no home in the area and they have been looking for a suitable alternative to continue their top-tier training.

MiBE will use Burnley College’s professional-level facilities which include two rehearsal rooms and a full industry-standard performance area with a Harlequin floor.

Sammy Allen, Curriculum Manager for Dance, Performing Arts and Music at Burnley College says this is a real boost for the entire dance industry:

“MIBE has a reputation that extends across the globe. Performers travel from as far as North America, the Middle East, and Europe to study under the guidance of Lynsey and Simon Kidd.

“Their passion, experience, and results are unmatched — and to now be offering that level of training at Burnley College is extraordinary.

“This isn’t just a dance programme — it’s a gateway to the professional world, and a major boost for the entire performing arts industry here in East Lancashire.”

Train with world-class dancers and take your skills to the highest levels.
