Too many of Burnley’s young people are falling through the gaps between school, work and training. This summit brings local authorities, providers and employers into one room to change that, not just talk about it.
Date: Thursday 8 October
Location: Performance Theatre, Burnley College
Burnley’s future depends on its young people, and right now, too many of them are being left behind. This is not another conversation about the problem. It is a working session built for outcomes, bringing together the people who hold the answers and the influence to act on them.
By the end of the summit, we will have moved from shared understanding to a shared plan, with clear leads and clear deadlines attached.
This is not a summit for spectators. Local authorities bring the data and the mandate. Providers bring the pathways and the practical know-how. Employers bring the opportunities that give a plan its purpose. Without any one of these voices in the room, the plan stays incomplete.
Your organisation’s experience shapes what gets prioritised in the 90-day plan. Your commitment on the day determines how quickly it moves from paper to practice.
Every month without action is a month where more young people drift further from education, employment and training. This summit is the moment that changes that trajectory, but only with the right people in the room.
