Burnley College Esports Stars Secure Podium Place at Legendary Formula 1 Racecourse

A team of talented Esports stars of the future from Burnley College raced home to take second place in the Williams Racing Student Racing League – held at Williams’ F1 team’s UK headquarters.

Our expert drivers Jamie Crampton and Zach Stanworth were supported by fellow Students, Assistant Coach Marley Williams and Head Coach Tyler Marlow.

After a tough opening race where players were impressed by the high level of quality of competitors this year, the team adapted quickly and took back the initiative to come home in second place.

Burnley College has an incredible track record in Simulation Racing and has been featured in Autosport Magazine twice for our pioneering Esports courses.

We also finished third in Season One of the Student Racing League two years ago.

The competition also gave learners the opportunity to explore Williams Racing HQ in Northampton, which holds one of the UK’s largest collection of cars and motorcycles.

It’s just one of the myriad of examples of Burnley College teaming up with the leaders of industry to create truly exceptional enrichment experiences.
