About the course
During this 30-week course you will further expand your dressmaking skills and techniques by completing several projects, both written and practical. This will develop your creative and pattern drafting techniques alongside building upon your knowledge of research, planning, marking-up, cutting, stitching and finishing. You will also research the fashion industry its current trends and popular designers work as well as learning basic fabric information. This will enable you to advance your own creative ideas and practical skills during the course, designing and producing your own garments.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a Level 1 award in dressmaking for beginners.
Assessment is on-going. You will produce a portfolio of evidence and create a completed garment.
