About the course
The purpose of this pre-advanced Photography and Digital Editing course is to expand your photographic and digital editing skills and techniques by completing a brief and set tasks every week covering key areas of study. These include camera parts, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure triangle, risk assessments, formal elements, genres of photography, legal and ethical considerations, introduction to light room and Photoshop, introduction to lighting, preparing your image for printing. This will enable you to advance your own creative ideas and practical skills during the course by producing and editing your own photographs. On the completion of the course all work will be exhibited through a digital platform

Entry requirements
No formal qualifications are required however this course is ideal for those with an interest in photography or art.
Assessment
The course is formally assessed throughout and there will be summative assessment at the end of the course. You will present an online portfolio, with the work produced over the course presented and exhibited. The portfolio will contain a collection of photographs and personal evaluations which all of these are formally assessed as the course progresses. Assignment work enables all learners to cover the course specifications and continuous feed back reflects on progress and achievement.
Careers & Progression
On successful completion of this course you may progress to the Level 2 and L3 Photography qualifications. Careers that this course may lead to include photography in a range of disciplines including landscape, event, portrait, wildlife, artistic, marketing and journalism.
