About the course
This course is aimed at Engineers looking to gain knowledge and practical understanding of how to safely and correctly isolate electrical systems to complete electrical maintenance and repairs of electrical systems, or for other safety purposes. By the end of the programme participants will be able to: • Work safely on electrical equipment. • Isolate electrical circuits and carry out basic electrical tasks. Safe Working & Isolation of Electrical Circuits & Equipment • Case studies • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 • Electrical hazards and precautions • Safe Isolation requirements at the boundary of high voltage installations • Electrical isolation and safety procedures • Safe testing of low voltage electrical equipment and installations to confirm correct and safe isolation • 2 pole Voltage indicator to GS 38 standard • Proving Unit • Safe isolation lock-off kit for domestic/industrial applications • Practical exercises
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to delegates who satisfactorily complete the course.
