About the course
This course offers you the opportunity to study modules which focus on Applied Science, Forensic science, Criminology and Psychology. You will be able to develop skills in evaluation, analysis, planning, research, problem solving, data and communication.

Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English Language, Maths and Science or a relevant L2 diploma at least MM.
There are a total of four externally assessed units across the two year programme which included Principles and Applications of Science I (including Biology, Chemistry & Physics), Science Investigation skills, Applications of Criminology and Applications of Criminal and Forensic Psychology. Other Mandatory units are : Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques, Forensic Investigation Procedures in Practice, Criminal Investigation Procedures in Practice. There are 6 optional units to complete including Physiology of Human Body systems, Microbiology & Microbiological techniques, Forensic Genetics, Practical chemical analysis.
The following units are externally assessed Principles and Applications of Science I, Science Investigation skills, Applications of Criminology and Applications of Criminal and Forensic Psychology. Other units will be internally assessed using a range of assessment methods including practical work, coursework, presentations and research tasks.
