About the course
This qualification enables trades persons with several years experience in the construction sector to match their skills to an industry linked qualification. The NVQ pathway will enable you to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to achieve a successful outcome. You will be required to complete a skill scan to assess your skills and to assess the availability of the scope of work to meet the criteria of the qualification. Attendance in college is not a requirement, but meetings can be arranged with your trainer assessor throughout the duration of your course. Site visits/assessments are carried out by a trade specific trainer assessor from the Furniture section within the Division of Construction at a time agreeable with yourself and your employer. Your assessor will conduct assessments in the workplace and assist you in collating a portfolio of evidence and formulate any action plans for the future. This qualification has multiple pathways, to meet the needs of your chosen vocational area of study.
