About the course
This course is for adult learners who wish to gain basic skills within carpentry. The course is appropriate for learners who want to develop DIY skills or progress to further study leading to a career in the Construction industry. You will cover a wide range of practical skills underpinned by a strong understanding of technical knowledge and health and safety requirements of the industry. You will study in our excellent facilities supported by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors. You will learn the following skills while studying on this course, health and safety in construction, introduction to the construction industry, fixing architraves and skirtings, construction and fixing hatch linings, fitting locks and latches and a range of joints.
