This programme, specialising in one of four craft areas of brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating and plastering, develops knowledge and practical skills at an advanced level, to meet the requirements of the current construction industry not only in the UK and Europe, but globally.

Successful completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Construction Craft programme with the appropriate level of GCSE Mathematics and English are required
Assessment
Students will be assessed on a range of practical skills with a synoptic end test. Additionally, you will sit a range of modular exams, linked to each of the practical element s of the programme.

Extra curricular activities
The division is focused on links with the community and community projects, offering the opportunity for work experience for full-time learners. All areas regularly host and compete in regional and national skills competitions with SkillBuild, SPARKS and HIPS. Other examples of extra-curricular activities include: employer-sponsored ˜Job of the Term" awards; construction site visits; entry into national trade skills competitions; excursions to national trade exhibitions; voluntary building work; visits to buildings of architectural significance.
