There are no formal entry requirements for this couse however the programme is aimed at managers supervisors and staff with a broad understanding of health and safety.
This course is split into two units Management of Health and Safety (NG1) and Risk Assessment practical application (NG2).You will cover the following: Justify health and safety improvements using moral, financial and legal arguments. Advise on the main duties for health and safety in the workplace. Help their organisation manage contractors. Work within a health and safety management system, recognising what effective general policy, organisation and arrangements should look like. Develop basic safe systems of work (including taking account of typical emergencies) and knowing when to use permit-to-work systems for special risks. Take part in incident investigations Help their employer to check their management system effectiveness through monitoring, audits and reviews
The NG1 Unit is a taught unit and will be assessed by a two-hour written examination. The NG2 Unit is assessed by a practical inspection and report carried out in the candidate’s own workplace to test the application of taught occupational health and safety principles. Both assessments are marked by external examiners which are appointed by NEBOSH. These examiners are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure that you are assessed by the very best from our industry.
