About the course
This qualification is a nationally recognised qualification and is specifically designed for people who are working in the electrical industry. You should have already achieved a relevant EAL or City and Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 electrical theory qualification. You will also need to sit two top up units which will be completed on self-study. The NVQ or performance units would normally be completed within two years. You will be assigned an assessor who will discuss how to gather and record your evidence and answer any questions. On completion of your performance units you will be required to complete a final end test known as the AM2. It is part of the assessment process and requirements for this qualification. It is an independent activity which is conducted as part of the assessment process to confirm occupational competence has been achieved. This will be completed at an independent testing centre at an additional cost.
