About the course

Group work and study sessions will take place within the BLUM School of Excellence, covering a wide range of topics including: - Creating joints and scribes for furniture installation - Installing fitted furniture and components - Furniture making using mechanical fixings - Health and safety within furniture and furnishings making environments - Training on BLUM equipment for kitchen unit assembly.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of two GCSEs at Grade 5 or above. Applicants must be hardworking, reliable and motivated. As part of the interview process, Apprentices will undertake a BKSB assessment in English, Mathematics and ICT. You may also need to sit the Construction Skills Structured Learning Exercise if your employer requests it. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements but hold relevant industry experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants who do not meet the exact entry requirements may also be considered.
