Rosie Pritchard, 18, a former student at Calder High School, achieved an exceptional A* A* A in A Level Biology, Geology and Chemistry.

She praised the wealth of enrichment opportunities offered alongside her chosen programme while at Burnley College. Rosalind applied for a research placement with Nuffield Health during her studies, and also participated in the Future Zoo programme in collaboration with Blackpool Zoo.

“I’d love to work in renewable energy or conservation. Going to Blackpool Zoo and having the chance to take care of the animals there, as well as doing genetic lab work, was inspiring.”

“Climate change is a massive global issue at the moment, and renewable energy is the way forward. I want to be at the forefront of that change.”

Rosie progressed to Lancaster University to read Earth and Environmental Science following her amazing achievements.
