Harriet Barker, 18, from Todmorden, a former student at Todmorden High School, enjoyed the wide variety of experiences during her work placement at Burnley General Teaching Hospital.

“I was able to gain experience in both antenatal and postnatal clinical settings during my work placement.

“I could really picture myself in the Midwifery department in the future, which was a fantastic feeling.” 

She also loved the close friendships she made on her course.

Harriet has accepted an offer at the University of Central Lancashire to study Midwifery.
