Eli Jarosz, 18, from Rossendale, a former student at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School, achieved an exceptional A*A*A in Environmental Science, German and Geography.

He set his heart on studying at Burnley College after visiting an Open Evening, where he was impressed by the array of options available to him, as well as the welcoming environment.

“It’s a really close community where you get to know your tutors amazingly and they’re so supportive.” 

Eli shone too in enrichment activities including the Tackling Climate Change Club and the Modern Languages magazine.

He also completed the AQA Level 3 Extended Project Qualification with a focus on climate change denial in politics.

He’ll be bringing that same enthusiasm to a new challenge soon: Eli has progressed to read Geography at the prestigious University of Oxford.
