Building Futures and Changing Lives – Burnley College Experts Amaze Accrington Pupils
Young people have been exploring their futures at a popular event at Accrington Stanley Football Club and Burnley College Sixth Form Centre was there to support them all the way.
The College’s friendly School Liaison Team were available all day, offering advice, guidance and information to more than 1,000 pupils from throughout the area planning their future after GCSEs.
Grace Warburton, School Liaison Lead at Burnley College, says young people have so many questions about their futures that it’s vital there are events like this:
Today, there are so many opportunities and pathways open to school leavers – A Levels, T Levels, Vocational study and Apprenticeships – and it’s important to understand the differences between them and make an informed choice about your future.
“This year, we were excited to be able to talk about our T Levels success at Burnley College, with one of our learners progressing to the University of Manchester to study Midwifery, clearly showing that if you have passion, dedication, and determination, at Burnley College, you can go anywhere.
“We’re sharing that message with the whole of Accrington and beyond. Bring us your passion, and we will help you unlock the career of your dreams.”
Grace added potential students are also curious about many other aspects of life at College:
“We always get a wide range of questions.”
Potential Students are always keen to find out more about why we’ve been named the Number 1 College in the country* again to how we can help with finances and how they can get into College from wherever they live.
Burnley College has teamed up with Trans Dev and launched another exclusive free bus service this year which stops at Accrington Bus Station after unprecedented demand. All students at Burnley College are entitled to free bus travel when they achieve 100% attendance.
