We are seeking a Lecturer in Media/Film Studies to promote and provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students. The post holder will teach effectively on a range of programmes across the College Curriculum, thoroughly plan and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching, and accurately assess and monitor student work to assure high achievement and progression.

The post holder will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in Media/Film Studies or a related subject/discipline and a recognised teaching qualification. You will have detailed knowledge of current AS/A Level specifications in Media/Film Studies, knowledge of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area, and experience of teaching AS/A Level Media/Film Studies. You will also demonstrate a record of high rates of student retention and achievement and have excellent teaching, communication and administrative skills.

You will provide effective tutorial and pastoral support, contribute fully to college and divisional teams, share best practice and be involved in developing the curriculum. The role also involves maintaining high-quality records, providing timely information, undertaking invigilation duties from time to time and contributing to the marketing operations of the College, including the recruitment and admission of students to the Division.

The salary for this post is up to £40,665
