We are seeking a Lecturer in A Level Psychology to promote and provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students. The post holder will teach effectively on a range of programmes across the College Curriculum, thoroughly plan and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching, and accurately assess and monitor student work to assure high achievement and progression.

The post holder will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in Psychology or a related subject/discipline and a recognised teaching qualification. You will have detailed knowledge of current AS/A Level and/or Higher Education Psychology specifications and knowledge of current issues in Further Education/Higher Education relating to the curriculum area. You will also demonstrate a record of high rates of student retention and achievement, excellent teaching skills and experience of teaching AS/A Level and/or Higher Education Psychology.

You will provide effective tutorial and pastoral support and contribute fully to college and divisional teams, including sharing best practice and being involved in developing the curriculum. The role also involves maintaining high-quality records and providing timely information, taking an active part in the marketing operations of the College including the recruitment and admission of students to the Division, and undertaking invigilation duties from time to time.

The salary for this post is up to £40,665
