How to apply to study ay BCUC

I WANT TO STUDY PART-TIME

Full-time Study

If your preferred course is offered full-time, you should apply through UCAS.

UCAS is the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service, which operates the application process for all British universities.

We offer workshops and individual advice on writing your personal statement (it’s not as daunting as you may at first think) and can check it for you, too. Plus, we can offer guidance on who may provide you with the ideal reference if you’re currently not in education or employment.

The cost applying in 2021 is £20 for a single choice (if you are applying only to Burnley College University Courses), or £26 if you are applying to study at more than one university.

Apply for Student Finance

Student Finance England applications open in February/ March. BCUC will inform you when you can make your application for a Student Loan and Maintenance Loan* and provide you with the correct Student Loan Company code needed.

Apply via www.gov.uk/student-finance You can also now apply for extra help through Student Finance*, including the Disabled Student Allowance if you have a learning difficulty such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or a mental health issue. Expert advice and guidance is available from our team of advisors on your options for Student Finance. We advise you to apply for Student Finance as soon as possible before starting your course.

Apply for the Burnley Bursary

Applications for a Burnley Bursary offered by BCUC open in March. All BCUC students are eligible for package of benefits, the value of which is determined by household income. Pick up an application form from Student Services or contact support@burnley.ac.uk

Prepare for University study

In July and August we hold a series of Academic Bootcamps and an Applicant Day to which you are invited to help you focus on success; introduce you to life as a BCUC student and meet fellow undergraduates.

Enrol on your BCUC course

Official enrolment takes place at the end of August, after A Level results have been issued – you are now a BCUC undergraduate and have taken a huge step towards academic and career success and being a leader in your chosen sector.

Start your degree studies and be something different
