About this vacancy

As an apprentice mechanical engineer, you will work towards becoming a skilled CNC machinist.

During your apprenticeship you will be involved in highly skilled, complex, and precision work. To help you develop your overall skill set, you will experience all our machining areas and will spend time in our assembly and inspection departments.

You will learn to machine components from specialist materials using conventional and CNC machine tools such as lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, and multi-axis CNC machining centres.

This is a ‘4 year’ apprenticeship where you will be expected to complete your HNC in Mechanical Engineering

Duties/main responsibilties include:

  • Designing, manufacturing, and installing components that fulfill requirements.
  • Analyzing problems or deficiencies and developing solutions to resolve them.
  • Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.
  • Creating plans and designs using CAD technology.
  • Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project.
  • Writing technical documentation for machine operators.

Working week

Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:15  – Friday –  7:30  12:30
