The Lancashire Sock Company was founded in 1917 and is recognised as the UK’s leading manufacturer of latex foam and crumb rubber coated felts and textiles. An exciting opportunity has arrived for an apprentice to join their expert and experienced team in Bacup as a Junior Laboratory Technician. A successful candidate will be expected to have:

• Grade 5 or above in GCSE Maths, Physics & Chemistry
• A mature personality
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Duties/main responsibilties include:

The main duties within the role include:

• Colour Matching
• Rubber Compounding
• Water based polymer development work
• Learning all aspects of machinery in the factory
• Helping where necessary

Working week

The normal working week is 8am – 3pm, Monday – Friday.
