About this vacancy

For more than 45 years SafeNet has been delivering domestic abuse support services in the North-West. We work to protect victims and survivors, provide safe accommodation and support and further, to prevent violence and abuse. We are at the forefront of promoting safe healthy relationships and the conditions for productive and positive futures. SafeNet deliver innovative and life-changing services to support over 500 victims and survivors each year. We deliver specialist services across Lancashire and Greater Manchester with refuge and community-based services in Burnley, Lancaster, Rochdale, Bury, Preston and Pendle. Safenet have won nationally recognised awards including the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employer 2019/2020. Some of the support services Safenet deliver include refuge provision for women and children, male safe house accommodation, specialist refuges for those with additional complex needs such as addiction, mental or physical health, recovery and offending behaviours. We provide specialist ongoing advice, support and advocacy as well as several community-based projects.

In the role you will be:

  • Assist in all financial and administrative tasks for all of SafeNet
  • Provide a wide range of administrative tasks including purchasing goods, invoicing, balancing and cashing up of petty cash, social media sending emails and other administrative tasks
  • works with the wider SafeNet teams to ensure the effective running of the service

Duties/main responsibilties include:

The main duties of the role include:

  • Support the effective running of the service by ensuring Admin tasks related to the service
    are completed in a timely manner to support the effective running of the service
  • Ensuring value for money for all purchases and delivered to refuge using the Calico
    finance system.
  • Petty cash at each site being cashed, balanced and recorded in conjunction with Reception
    Administrators at each site.
  • Communication and links with all SafeNet services will be cohesive so that everyone is
    fully informed of progress and updates in regards to tasks and the team are working
    together effectively to generate the best possible service and outcomes.
  • Strong relationships will be built with key stakeholders, including Calicos internal
    departments including Finance and Furniture Matters.
  • Donator of goods and cash will receive a timely response for their donation.
  • Participating in learning opportunities, including an apprenticeship, supported by SafeNet
    to develop professional understanding of SafeNet’s services

Working week

The working week is Monday – Friday, with the hours to be confirmed.
