Duties/main responsibilties include:

  • Role Overview:
    • Apprenticeship opportunity in Residential Conveyancing at AMT Lawyers’ Blackburn Head Office.
    • Integral part of Conveyancing department.
    • Requires excellent communication, organisation, multitasking, commitment, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Key Tasks:
    1. Understanding of Residential Conveyancing and legal processes.
    2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    3. Drafting skills for emails, letters, etc.
    4. Ability to work under pressure and follow Solicitor/supervisor instructions.
    5. Managing customer/client relations.
  • Progression:
    • Opportunity for advancement within the Property Department based on demonstrated abilities.
  • Problem Solving/Creativity/Standards:
    • Resolve complex issues, maintain standards, and prioritise work effectively.
    • Update manuals/procedures and provide training.
    • Work collaboratively to meet department priorities and Lexcel standards.
  • Responsibility and Accountability:
    • Handle queries, prioritise work, and support colleagues.
  • Communication:
    • Interpret and convey processes and procedures effectively.
    • Tailor communication for different audiences.
  • Decision Making:
    • Make informed decisions, articulate reasoning, and support others’ decision making.
    • Adhere to departmental procedures and confidentiality policies.
  • Knowledge & Skill:
    • Understand work area’s impact, use appropriate systems, and stay updated with relevant information.
    • Proactively research and develop expertise within the firm.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and address risks associated with services, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Innovation and Flexibility:
    • Transfer skills, adapt approaches, propose improvements, and maintain compliance with regulations and policies.
