Established for over 40 years and now one of the North West’s leading Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit enthusiastic Welder/Fabricator Apprentices to join our busy and expanding team based in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Skills and Personal Qualities required for the role:

• Good timekeeping skills
• Good communication skills
• Good practical skills
• Good work ethic
• Motivated
• You must have a clear interest in becoming a welder/fabricator
• You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm for the role
• You must work well under pressure and take instructions well
• Physically fit
• Good attention to detail

GCSE grades C (4) or above required in both Maths and English

Duties/main responsibilties include:

Responsibilities will include:

• Gain a wide and varied understanding of welding and fabrication
• Work on exciting engineering projects
• Using different welding techniques
• Work towards Level 3 welding standard

Working week

Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
