About this vacancy

To support the engineering department in producing accurate 3D CAD models of project specific equipment, along with full drawings and bill of materials (BOMs). Implementing small design changes to improve functionality or the design equipment and subsequently updating CAD models, drawings and BOMs.

  • Work experience is not required but some engineering work experience is desirable
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks is desirable

Duties/main responsibilties include:

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by

your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

· Validating CAD models through cross referencing accuracy against completed equipment.

· Producing bills of materials for project specific equipment

· Producing engineering drawings to relevant industry standards (BS 8888)

· Minor design changes to existing equipment

· Design verification work, including FEA simulation

· Producing equipment manuals and additional documentation

· Training and development of Apprentice Manufacturing Engineers

Working week

Monday to Friday, times to be confirmed.
