Burnley College Football Teams in Sweden

Arriving on Sunday 13th July, both the boys and girls' Burnley College football teams landed in Gothenburg to compete in the Gothia Cup 2014. First held in 1975, the Gothia Cup (or Gothia World Youth Cup) has become the largest international youth football tournament in the world. Rugby Academy star picked for Scotland Under 19s

The Burnley College Rugby Academy is celebrating as Sports Studies Year 2 student William Holden was selected to play for Scotland's Under 19s Rugby League. Picked to take part in the Rugby League Commonwealth Championship 2014, William joined players from eight nations including New Zealand, Australia, Spain and the UK to compete. Well done to Burnley College Pan Ability football team who performed amazingly at the Ability Counts National Cup final at St George's Park on Tue 28th May. The Pan Ability football team within the Burnley College Foundation and Community studies division has been successfully recruiting and running now for two years.
