Introducing the Themis Young Academy Award, new to this year's Inspire and Achieve Awards.
The winner in this new category will be chosen by the Themis team itself and nominations are not being accepted.
This award will be presented to a Year 10 or 11 student who has shown ambition, talent and a deep interest during their time on a Burnley College Young Academy Programme.
Our innovative Academy programme - run over several weeks in the evening at college - has been designed to give ambitious secondary school pupils an opportunity to immerse themselves in their favourite subject/industry sector, exploring the skills and knowledge which will be vital as they pursue their studies, an Apprenticeship or successful career.
The winner will demonstrate their knowledge of industry practices and has a clear vision of their ambitious future career plans within their chosen industry. .
Judges will be looking for an individual who has shown commitment to the Young Academy Programme and has made significant progress towards their career goals. They will be looking for a determined individual who has developed a clear vision of their future by fully engaging with the different aspects of the programme. The winner will be an individual who has proved they have a passion for their chosen industry and a thirst to develop the skills and knowledge that will help them secure a Themis Apprenticeship.
