Year 11 students from schools across Lancashire who have earned a place on our successful Themis Gold programme learned the Secrets of Success from leading North West motivational speaker Michael Quigley.
The students, who are keen to secure a Themis Apprenticeship with one of the leading Engineering or Plumbing Employers in the region, learnt abut the attitude, behaviours, communication, discipline, energy levels, fun and gratitude that will help them develop as an individual and achieve their career dreams.
The event was also attended by Neil Burrow, head of the Centre of Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing and David Lord, head of the Centre for Construction and Future Technologies at Burnley College,
The students applied to complete the Themis Gold programme by taking part in a rigorous selection process to show they have the commitment, knowledge and confidence to be an exceptional Apprentice. They were invited to the launch of the Themis Careers Magazine at the recent Themis Careers Event; had the opportunity to meet leading Employers and received a bespoke Themis Gold portfolio and business cards to ensure they stand out from the crowd.
The next scheduled Themis Gold event will focus on the skills that will help Themis Gold candidates stand out at interview with top Employers and will include a question-and-answer session with current Themis Apprentices who are already making a great impression in the workplace and having an impact on their Employers' business.
