A group of highly-motivated Public Services students from Burnley College Sixth Form Centre have 'graduated' from the National Citizenship Service after completing a series of projects and challenges covering skills, adventure and social action.

As part of their work in a social action research project, the students created origami decorations for a World Mental Health Day event staged at Burnley FC in the Community.

NCS, run in conjunction with Burnley FC in the Community, offers teenagers the opportunity to discover more about themselves, their skills and talents, improving communication and teamwork, allowing them to explore, find their passion and stretch their boundaries.

Students completing the NCS programme included: Maddy Doherty, Reece Stansfield, Kelcie Dodgeon, Charlotte Wilson, Declan Goldbourne, Jordan Smyth, Molly Shaw, Ellen Walker, Madison Horne, Rubena Jyoti, James Driver, Ethan Taylor, Freya Pounder, Elliot Benfold, Aisha Royal, Ellie Piper, Bradley Harrison and Elle Knowles
