Charlotte's teaching career launched after PGCE studies in Burnley

A high-flying student who studied for a teaching qualification at Burnley College has started her dream career and earned a top award from leading academics.

Charlotte Cutt, from Burnley, a graduate of Lancaster University, who studied for a PGCE at Burnley College, earned the prestigious Academic Excellence Award.

The award was presented at a graduation ceremony for students who have completed university courses at Burnley College, staged at Burnley Mechanics in front of academics, civic leaders, fellow students, family and friends

The award was presented in recognition of outstanding performance and achievement of a student completing a UCLan Burnley programme.

Charlotte completed her PGCE studies at Burnley and is now employed as an A Level Mathematics Tutor at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre.

Her passion for her subject, combined with the determination to constantly push the boundaries of her learning, immediately made her stand out to the crowd to potential employers.

Supported by her expert Lecturers, Charlotte has risen to every challenge to become an innovative and inspirational teacher, helping a new generation of students to achieve their goals.
