Pupils explore their options at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre Open Event

It was a great opportunity to discover more about the routes open to pupils after GCSEs - A Levels, Vocational study or Themis Apprenticeships - meet the passionate Tutors and Trainer Assessors at Burnley and view the impressive facilities.

As well as chatting to staff, pupils were encouraged to take part in interactive activities linked to subject areas, vocational programmes and Apprenticeships. An Student Experience hub also gave a taste of the many exciting trips around the globe that Burnley College Sixth Form Centre students can take part in, as well as the clubs and societies open to them.

Talks were held during the evening to outline the ethos, outstanding results and university and career progression achieved by students and Apprentices, including a welcome by Principal Karen Buchanan and Deputy Principal Simon Jordan.

The evening also provided the opportunity to find out more about the Additional Learning Support offered by Burnley College Sixth Form Centre, as well as how to find the best route to College and our free travel incentive.
