A series of informative presentations gave Parents an essential insight into how they can prepare their son or daughter for life as a Burnley College Sixth Form Centre student or Themis Apprentice and the key events they can expect over the next 12 months.
There was an opportunity to meet the college's Senior Leadership Team and chat over coffee, while senior Tutors and Trainers were on hand to ask specific questions about specific A Level, Advanced Vocational courses and Apprenticeships. Parents were also able to gather information on a raft of other essential subjects, such as transport, careers guidance, financial support and extra-curricular activities.
Young people who accompanied their parents to the event were able to sample some of the many extra-curricular activities that they will be able to enjoy as a student.
Simon Jordan, Deputy Principal at Burnley College and Director of Themis, said: "We'd like to thanks the very many parents who attended the 2018 Preview Event and it was a pleasure to get to know more about them and their sons and daughters who will be joining us in September.
"At Burnley College Sixth Form Centre and Themis at Burnley College, we share parents wish to see their sons and daughters reach their full potential in a safe and secure environment, with support tailored to their individual needs and excellent teaching.
"We share the hopes and dreams they have for their sons and daughters and will keep them informed every step of the way as students make progress towards their goals."
