Fearns student Alistair Watson wins Themis competition!

Fearns Community Sports College Student Alistair Watson entered the Themis competition at our Apprenticeship Open Event on 13 October.

Alistair Watson The Themis competition, which offered an iPad Mini as it's grand prize, asked visitors to the Open Event to share why they'd like to be an Apprentice, or why they think Apprenticeships are a great career option for young people. Alistair's thoughtful answer impressed the judges so much that he was named the outright winner and he was presented with his rightfully-won iPad Mini at his school, Fearns Community Sports College in Rossendale. Here is the answer he gave: Alistair Watson's Answer   It was fantastic to see so many younger students visiting the Themis open event to find out more about Apprenticeship programmes and alternative routes to their dream careers. It is never too early to begin planning your future and Alistair was just one of hundreds of young people visiting Burnley College on the night and most were actively speaking to employers and trainers which was brilliant to see. The next opportunity to visit Themis and find out more about Apprenticeships (and perhaps enter another Themis competition...) is at the Burnley College Sixth Form Open Event on Thursday 6 November from 5.30pm - 8.30pm. Well done Alistair! We hope to see you for an Apprenticeship programme soon.
