Themis are hosting Insider's "Made In Lancashire" breakfast on Thursday 28th August and it's set to be a big event for local industry.
The event will be held at Themis HQ at the iconic Burnley College campus on Princess Way, Burnley from 07:30 am until 09:15am and will be the perfect opportunity for local engineering and manufacturing specialists to network and discuss big industry topics.
There are also a number of fantastic speakers who will be visiting the "Made In Lancashire" breakfast to discuss the economic recovery, manufacturing and engineering in the North West and equality in employment.
So far the confirmed speakers are:
Stephen Lees, general manager, Mackintosh
Joe Govier, managing director, Connect2Cleanrooms, Lancaster
Jonathan Thomas, senior projects manager, Business Growth and Innovation, Lancashire County Council
David Judge, managing director, Cormar Carpets
Mark Woodward, Managing Director, The Paper Cup Company
Peter Taylor, director, Beacon Fell Bikes
In Lancashire manufacturing contributes 20 per cent of the county’s economy but the UK’s trade deficit remains huge which is why the government wants UK exports to reach £1 trillion by 2020.
However rising energy costs and a burgeoning skills gap are just some of the challenges facing manufacturing.
Insider’s "Made in Lancashire" breakfast will hear from a selection of manufacturers about the issues and opportunities facing them.
Don't miss out - register for your ticket now. It's free but there are only a limited number of places available.
