Burnley College Sixth Form Centre has a range of sports academies that have continued to excel in regional and national championships throughout 2013. All teams are performing higher than any other Lancashire College. Successes include:

This followed success at the National Finals in Bath, where the team ended the competition as third place play-off winners for the second consecutive year.  The team also reached the quarter-finals of the British Colleges and England Basketball Cup, where we were the highest performing team in the North of England. Student Ajay Cheema was awarded by progressing onto a basketball scholarship at Oakland Community College in Michigan, USA, and coach Malcolm Leak was also named as England Basketball Division 4 Coach of the Year.
