Enrolment is only a few days away and College is already getting ready to welcome our newly accepted students.
Enrolment day is exciting but it's understandable that it can also be a little confusing, especially at busier periods. Here are some tips to help you enrol quickly and easily so that you'll be ready and raring to go in September.
If you're a returning student, enrolment is much the same as last year
Although you'll be coming in on a different day to the newly starting students, your process is very much the same as last year. You'll be asked to fill in your enrolment slip and visit the enrolment staff who will input your information and change any data such as any new addresses or phone numbers. You will keep your student ID card to use in 2015/2016.
News students - come in and take a seat
If you're a new student, come in to the Atrium (where the front desk is) and follow the signs. Your area will be clearly signposted (A Levels, AS Levels etc.) and you'll be able to ask staff members for help if where you are meant to be is unclear to you at first.
You'll be asked to sit down and fill in your enrolment form - please fill it out in as much detail as possible.
Once your enrolment form is completed, move into the main enrolment area
This is in the CSE ALZ, which is located just next to the lifts to the rear of the Atrium. Here you'll be asked to queue (don't worry, there's plenty to do while you wait) and wait for an availble inputting officer who will then take your details from your enrolment slip and create your official Burnley College student profile for the College database.
You'll also be asked questions about your next of kin and contact details (including Twitter handle if you use it and would like us to contact you on there).
Once you've officially enrolled, we'll print out your ID card for you there and then, as well as a copy of your student agreement. Once all this is done, you'll be an official Burnley College student. Welcome!
Are you as excited as we are?
