Furniture Students work exhibited at Towneley Hall

posted on

The annual Burnley College furniture exhibition at Towneley Hall has been firmly established over the past 20 years.

Becoming one of the most prestigious events in Burnley's cultural calendar, students of furniture and cabinet making from Burnley College have been invited to exhibit their work since the first show in 1995. Opened by distinguished guests from the Furniture Makers' Company and The Furniture Makers' Guild every year, students' work is placed in high regard among the UK's professional networks and has enabled a reputation of outstanding work and high achievement to flourish. This year's Burnley College Student Furniture Exhibition will be opened by David Dewing, Master of the Furniture Maker's Company, who is a keen supporter of nurturing the skills of the brightest and best students to become the master furniture makers of the future. The exhibition opens to the public on Wednesday 10 June at Towneley Hall. It will be a fantastic opportunity to see the stunning craftsmanship and hard work that Burnley College students have put into their pieces this year. The exhibition will run from Wednesday 10 June until Wednesday 1 July. For more information, visit the event page: http://www.burnley.ac.uk/event/furniture-exhibition-at-towneley-hall/
