Burnley College Sixth Form Centre's Health, Early Years, Care and Public Services departments have been named the most successful in the country for 16-18 year olds.
This fantastic news has come following the release of the Skills Funding Agency
’s performance tables, and confirmed Burnley College Sixth Form Centre as the number one place to study
if you want the best chance of success in these areas.
The tables identify those further education providers who have the best long term success with their students, and Burnley College Sixth Form Centre’s top position is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both staff and students across these subject areas.
Jayne Hodson, Head of Division for Health and Social Care was delighted with the findings:
“We are thrilled that Burnley College Sixth Form Centre has been confirmed as the most successful College in the country for Health, Social Care, Early Years and Public Services. This recognition highlights the outstanding success rates our students achieve each year within these areas.”
Karen Pates, Head of Division for Sport, Business and the Services, who leads the Public Services curriculum area said:
“This recent announcement cements us firmly at the top of the tables, and is testament to the work of our outstanding staff. As part of our continued commitment to our students’ success we are dedicated to providing the best possible learning opportunities. Our outstanding lecturers ensure that the curriculum is developed to fully enhance employability prospects, with staff regularly going back to practice in schools, hospitals and the Public Services. We have also recently invested over £6 million in new teaching centres, and our specialist facilities now include a Dementia Awareness Suite and Early Steps Virtual Nursery.”
