Jane was a pupil at Alder Grange High School before studying A Level Physics, Psychology and Maths at Burnley College Sixth From Centre. With aspirations to become a Neuropsychologist, she felt Burnley College could provide her with the best opportunities to progress onto higher education level study.

After excelling in her A Level studies, she now reads Psychology at Lancaster University, giving her all the necessary skills to achieve her ambitious career plans.

 

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

A Levels

Alongside Jane’s studies at Burnley College Sixth From Centre, she undertook a placement at Burnley General in the Elderly Ward which inspired her to pursue her career of choice after experiencing the profession. She really enjoyed learning about the medical applications of Physics such as CT scans, PET scans, x-rays and ultrasound. Finding the link between these technologies and their use in psychology research sparked her interest in studying the subject further.

Joseph Dare

Physics & Maths

Joseph has a PhD in Physics after reading at the University of Manchester. He has been teaching at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre since 2014 and continues to share his love for Physics and Maths with his students. Teaching at A Level, Joseph encourages his students to take their passion for Science above and beyond.
