We are seeking a Lecturer in Fashion and Textiles to join our Creative Arts and Media department to teach effectively on a range of programmes across the College curriculum and to provide an excellent learning experience for all students.

To apply for this role, a related degree, a recognised teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and experience of teaching and/or within the Fashion and Textiles industry is essential.

This job could be ideal for you, if you:

  • have a track record of producing stimulating and creative lessons to engage students
  • can evidence pupil progress and effectiveness at raising attainment
  • incorporate behaviour management strategies to maximum effect
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management
  • are a team player

You will be expected to develop high standard teaching and learning materials which relate to current debates and issues, historical perspectives and theoretical approaches to Fashion and Textiles.

You will be expected to develop a range of related skills including communication and research, and to encourage student engagement in the subject; a broad understanding and knowledge of contemporary and historical contexts, current issues, trends, theories in Fashion and Textiles is essential.

The salary for this post is £31,967 – £38,147.
