Qualifications explained

Whatever stage you are at in your education journey, we will work with you to enable you to achieve your qualifications and secure your dream career. Whether you are returning to education after a break (of however long), need to study a GCSE alongside your Foundation Entry qualification, or you want to study a Top-Up programme to turn your Foundation Degree to a full BA/BSc (Hons) Degree we are here to help. Our guide will help to get you on the right path and explain the many different courses available here at Burnley College University Courses.

COURSES

Entry requirements

Your previous academic and professional qualifications (such as A Levels and Vocational qualifications) will count towards the entry criteria for your chosen University course. However, we understand that your industry experience and drive to make a difference to the lives of others are valuable, too. That is why we will also take into account your career achievements, your voluntary work and life experiences.

Use any of the following:

  • A Levels
  • An Advanced Vocational qualification (Level 3)
  • An Advanced Apprenticeship
  • An Access to Higher Education qualification
  • GCSE’s or O Levels
  • Your experience in a career
  • Your life experience

You will also need a Maths and English qualification.

As a student on a university-level course at Burnley College you will be provided with outstanding support and guidance to ensure you understand the financial aspects of study. Wellbeing

At BCUC we are dedicated to ensuring you have the health & wellbeing support to focus on your studies and your future career goals.  As a BCUC Student, you will enjoy benefit from:
